About Me

Welcome to Curly Q. Paper! I'm Christy Caiazza an artist, wife to Derek, and mother to Sawyer. We are living our vision of a dream life in the Pacific Northwest. I created this blog to share my love of art and design, food, and to be an advocate for Fibular Hemimelia. A condition that effects my son, but never seems to hold him back.

I met my husband Derek over a turkey sandwich and it's been a whirlwind romance ever since! It took us a while to find each other, but it was well worth the wait. He is the cheese to my macaroni.

In July of 2013 we had our son Sawyer. Caring and loving for him has been such a joy and completely overwhelming at the same time. He makes me laugh, smile, and feel love like I have never experienced. Sawyer was born with Fibular Hemimelia in his right leg. You can see the start of his journey here.

Art touches all aspects of my life. From planning a party, cooking a meal, or creating a design. I really feed off the artistic process. When I found art, I found myself!

Interesting Fact: My hair is one of the first things people notice about me. Growing up I had a love and hate relationship with it. Now, I fully embrace my curls and it's where Curly Q. Paper got it's name!
