Our weekend

Sunday, January 19, 2014

We took Sawyer to the park this weekend and it's such great place to hang with your baby. It can be a daunting task to get out of the house, but the park is pretty easy. Unlimited places to change and feed the baby...just layout a blanket and a way you go! Sawyer enjoyed grabbing at the grass, plants, and playing with his feet. It's a tough life! We had a picnic lunch and just enjoyed being outside. Sawyer is sporting his baby blue bear hoodie. Um, I have to admit that it's 0-3 months, but I LOVE it so much I can't let go! I think I will wait until it looks like a crop top with short sleeves and finally say goodbye. I found a similar one here.

Quality time with my family was my favorite part of this weekend.

5 Months Old

I'm a little late on posting this, but at least I got it up before Sawyer is 6 months! Love is definitely in the air in our household. I've officially decorated for the season and I'm LOVING IT.

I have a chandelier ceiling fan (cringe) above our dining room table and I've found it's the perfect vehicle to hang stuff from. I love these pom poms and they add a lot of drama to the room.

I collect plates and display them on a wall in our dining room. I like keeping it fresh by switching them out to match the season. I found these heart plates at Target...SCORE!

All you need is love

I received such a cool gift for Christmas a year of wishes candles. First of all, I love the packaging. So simple, they remind me of pantone swatches. You burn one candle every month and focus on that word. This month we burned love. So, I bring you love inspired blogs!

I was 4 months pregnant for Valentine's Day last year and not in the mood to deal with crowds at a restaurant. So we planned a special evening at home. We had an indoor picnic! It turned out to be so much fun. We spread out a blanket, I downloaded an app that had chirping birds and outdoor noises for a little background "music" (my husband thought that was hilarious), ordered a pizza and had a special dessert. We toasted (with sparkling apple cider of course) to our love! It was a night to remember and so much more meaningful then any restaurant we could have gone to.

I asked our fav pizza place if they could make our pizza in the shape of a heart. Turned out pretty good!

I LOVE Nothing Bundt Cakes. Seriously, the most moist cake ever and the best frosting.
